Job Description

Machine Learning EnigneerBristol - Permanent (*Remote)We are very pleased to be working with this exciting geospatial/earth observation company based in Bristol who are looking for a master in Machine Learning (with emphasis on Deep Learning and some Computer Vision) who are looking to onboard an expert in AI to help build their new ML products, design state of the art ML models, retrain their current systems and potentiallly head up their AI department moving forward.Key Responsibilities;

  • Performing statistical analysis and fine-tuning parameters and configuration
  • following test evaluation
  • Extending existing ML libraries and frameworks
  • Studying and transforming physics-based derivative algorithms into prototypes
  • Researching and implementing appropriate ML algorithms and tools
  • Developing ML applications according to requirements
  • Performing statistical analysis and fine-tuning parameters and configuration

  • Re-training and redesigning systems when necessary
  • Extending existing ML libraries and frameworks
  • Keeping abreast of developments in the field
    • Desirable Skills;
  • Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role with 1-5 years’ experience, depending on depth of deep learning experience
  • Practical experience in machine learning for computer vision applications, utilising object detection and/or segmentation techniques
  • Understanding of algorithms and data structures, data modelling and software architecture
  • Good knowledge of maths, probability and statistics, and numerical methods witha BSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Ability to write robust code in Python
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (such as PyTorch and TensorFlow) and libraries (such as scikit-learn) or similar
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
