A company recognised worldwide are offering a unique self-service model that has revolutionised the industry are on a growth mission looking to hire a Lead DevOps Engineer. If youre a true problem solver and are open to being part of one of the most excitingcompanies to come out of the UK in recent years, then this could be the one!What experience youll need
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • A good understanding of CI/CD processes and strategies
  • Experience with containerisation and cloud service (AWS in particular. Theyre currentlyusing CircleCI, Docker, K8s and AWS).
  • Strong experience with monitoring tools. E.g. DataDog or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Able to self-manage; comfortable acting autonomously but happy to ask for support.
  • Fluency in automating manual jobs using scripting languages.
Nice to have and can learn as you go
  • Terraform.
  • Front-end architecture/deployments. E.g. Netlify and Gatsy.js.
  • Experience working with a development team following Agile methodologies.
  • Documentation tools and techniques. E.g. UML.
  • Microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud automation and infrastructure provisioning tools, Terraformspecifically.
What youll be doingYou will join a very talented team in the Bristol office (mix of remote and office based if preferred) working closely with their new Tech Director. Youll be reviewing infrastructure, articulating key areas of improvement and their priorities as well as guidingdecision-making to ensure they are following best practices. Also, working with the development team to design, implement and maintain CI/CD process, always ensuring they have the necessary tools and monitoring in place to enable the continuous operation oftheir digital products. Where reasonable, work with teammates to provide out-of-hours support, ensuring the smooth operation of their infrastructure.
