Job Description

Lead Data Engineer BristolSalary up to £65,000 + benefits Leading Bristol based business have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to take a lead role within their MI Department.The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for providing hands-on technical leadership and oversight to the data warehouse team to deliver a data platform that supports the reporting and analytics team and self-serve areas of the business, aligned to the Information Management Roadmap.The role:

  • Take responsibility and accountability for the collaborative design and build of data solutions that will provide a secure, reliable, and well performing platform for information & analytical purposes.
  • Taking the lead in driving the progression of the Information Management Roadmap, working closely with the Head of Information Management to move towards a cost effective and sustainable future technology platform.
  • Working with the project management and business analyst communities to ensure all stages of feasibility, design, and delivery are captured and estimated with agreed milestones.
    • Skills / experience:
  • Open to technical background however any experience within AWS / Azure environments, strong ETL (ideally Talend), SQL Server is an advantage.
  • Strong background within senior BI / ETL / Data Engineering role
  • Regulated / Financial Services background preferred
  • High level of communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Outgoing, collaborative approach
