Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an expert Land Manager to make an impact across Bristol.The RoleThe Land Manager is a key member of the Group Residential Development Team. They will work as part of the regional Land and New Homes team, to deliver both the performance and strategic requirements of our Land and New Homes programme within their area ofresponsibility. The role will require working in close collaboration with other business unit leaders, functional heads, business partners and teams across the Group to deliver this performance in line with our Purpose, Vision and Values and our stated strategicambitions. The role holder will build strategic capability throughout a dedicated region of the UK, focussing on the sale of quality land opportunities and ensuring delivery of downstream instructions. This would include development of business across oneor more hubs within the Residential Development Regions of the UK.Experience you have that will set you up for success:

  • Appropriate land experience within a highly customer centric developer or agency sales environment
  • Experience within a Transactional Land environment
  • A strong understanding of both the land sale and the acquisition process including knowledge of Options, Promotion Agreements and the Planning System
  • The ability to provide land sale/acquisition case studies
  • Previously created and successfully delivered strategic plans and roadmaps, delivering outstanding results and showing high levels of P&L accountability
  • New Homes Developer or relationship management experience
Other helpful things to know:
  • This role reports to the National Head of Land
  • This role will be based in one of the Regional Residential Development Hubs
  • Specific financial and budget aspects for this role: This role will be responsible for managing a revenue stream, details of which will be defined
  • You will have working relationships with: Group Residential Development leadership team, other Business to Business leadership teams including Lambert Smith Hampton, as well as wider Business teams, People, Finance, Marketing and other enabling teams
  • You will have external working relationships with: Developer clients, land owners/vendors, affordable housing providers and investors
