Are you an administrator and looking to explore a remote/virtual role in credit controlDo you enjoy chatting with clients/customers both by email and phone communicationDo you thrive in a small, established (non-corporate) companyBased in the UKPerhaps this is your next career move.Here’s a little more info…About your new Junior Credit Control and Administrator roleWe’re helping an established recruitment company to hire a new team member for their small remote working team.This role includes lots of administrative tasks complemented by a touch of credit control for this specialised and busy chef agency.About Your New TeamThe Chef Tree is a well-established chef agency that specialises in supplying Chefs to UK-based residential and nursing homes as well as schools. You will be liaising with these clients to ensure invoices are paid, and bookings are set up correctly plusguide chefs through their DBS process … as well as many other vital admin tasks.About Your Admin Skills, Experience and Personality

  • You have a varied admin background.
  • The idea of credit control and a mix of admin and finance accountabilities interests you (you do not need to have credit control experience to be considered for this role).
  • If you love a remote, fast-paced, varied role with a small team, this could be your ideal next role.
  • Personality and relationship building are just as important to this role as attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Systems… You love learning new technologies such as databases and invoicing platforms.
  • Youre happy and at ease with picking up the phone and engaging with clients to efficiently resolve their queries.
  • A naturally enthusiastic person with a genuine passion for helping people, problem-solving, and doing a good job.
  • Numerate and understand numbers in the sense that you can spot if an Excel spreadsheet or invoice looks wrong!
  • Comfortable in regular video team meetings, have ideas to bring to the table, and be confident working closely (but remotely) with the Directors and Desk Manager.
  • The team all work from home, so if you are looking for a close-knit team all office-based, this is definitely not the role for you.
Working from Home
  • Working from home can have its challenges, however, you love remote working, and you have previous experience working in this capacity.
  • Your home environment helps you to stay highly motivated and productive, even on super busy days!
  • Your home working set-up is key, and you’ll have ample space for a desk in your home and know what it takes to excel as a key part of our small team.
To join the team, you’ll have the following:
  • A varied administration background with some exposure to credit control
  • You will thrive in a fast-paced remote role!
  • You’re an excellent communicator via email, phone, and video.
  • Solid grammar and writing skills.
  • An eye for detail - nothing slips by your ability to spot mistakes.
  • Process-driven, and you love working to deadlines.
  • Ability to learn the recruitment process so you can cover on-call - don’t worry, you’ll be provided with training. Your phone skills will be vital here!
  • Happy to hop on a call with clients to chat about payment timelines, and then drop them a friendly email follow-up
  • A willingness to contribute ideas - we find small teams work well when everyone contributes.
  • Always looking at ways to improve things.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • The ability to prioritise.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
