Job Description

Im looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join an exciting, growing software consultancy company to work on projects that are helping to keep the UK safe - read on if that sounds like you!

We are looking to continue scaling up their engineering team here in Bristol, after recently winning several large projects with their clients within the Gov sector - they are ready for the hiring to commence.Their office is located just minutes walking distance away from Temple Meads Station and their flexible working hours, you could be coming from anywhere in the South West to work with this team whose culture can only be described as buzzing.   • Eligible for SC security clearance (Living in the UK for the past 5 years) + hold a British Citizenship.
  • Commercial experience working as a backend, full-stack, or polyglot Software Engineer (Ideally Java as its their main language, but they work with other languages such as Python, JavaScript, C++, C# and GoLang)
  • Experience working with AWS (Lambda, S3, SQS, DynamoDb, Cloudwatch)
  • You have worked in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
  • A bachelors degree within a STEM subject
    • Highly desired:
  • Experience with DevOps techniques and approaches (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery)
  • Terraform
  • Experience working within a cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or similar)
    • We are looking for either a mid or senior engineer for this role, youll have lots of chance to work with the latest technologies and progress your career.Due to the nature of the work you do, mostly with government clients (working on things for homeland security, all ethical things - pretty much there are no missile or jet fighter mission projects!).
