Job Description

Java Software Developer - 90% Remote - up to £75,000Multiple openings for Java Software Developers at Senior to Lead levels. Primarily a remote opportunity with occasional travel to the Bristol Area.Technical Skills:

  • Experienced in OOP, ideally Java, and front end (Typescript/React)
  • Experience with open-source software development
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies
  • Knowledge of Software Delivery Life Cycle, Agile practices, DevOps, CI/CD, and API development
  • Familiarity with databases, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with cloud services like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Proficient in cloud infrastructure tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
Responsibilities:
  • Balance team leadership with hands-on development
  • Ensure quality in user interfaces, business services, and integration
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on development, architecture, and technology
  • Ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance of software solutions
  • Create development roadmaps, set clear targets, and allocate resources
  • Identify and proactively mitigate technical risks
  • Champion coding standards, practices, and quality documentation
