Job Description

Information Security Officer - Bristol

  • £35,000 to £45,000 (DOE)

    • This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious national legal practice as an Information Security Officer in Bristol. There is opportunity to travel to other sites and to take a lead in running the firm’s information security risk assessments and developing risk treatment plans.Reporting to the Head of Information Security & Data Protection, you will be responsible for a wide range of matters including:
  • Providing advice, guidance and practical implementation solutions for all aspects of information security relating to business processes
  • Undertaking the rolling internal information security audit plan across all support functions and client facing teams
  • Undertaking information security due diligence on all new suppliers and manage ongoing review process for existing suppliers
  • Taking the lead in running the Firms information security risk assessments and assisting control owners in developing appropriate risk treatment plans
  • Developing and maintain information security awareness training and feed into the overall IS & DP training programme
  • Assisting with drafting new policies and amending those that already exist to ensure the firms compliance with law, regulations and information security best practices
  • Manage the Firms PCI DSS attestation and compliance activities
    • The ideal candidate:
  • Will have a minimum of two years in a similar information security position
  • Will have a ISO 27001 Lead Implementer qualification
  • Can demonstrate a solid understanding of relevant regulations
  • Will have a high level of autonomy and can implement your own ideas and decisions
  • Will have a background from either a legal firm, or relevant professional services
