Job Description

Juice Recruitment is delighted to be in partnership with a professional and well-established online pharmaceutical business, with the appointment of an independent Prescriber to join their expanding team.The role is looking for an exceptional, dynamic & innovative individual to join the team as an independent prescriber in their online pharmacy. The successful candidate will be carrying out online digital consultations, providing provision of appropriatecare based on patient need, ensuring all patients receive a timely and appropriate response.Key responsibilities

  • Undertake online consultations and prescribe when appropriate
  • During consultations optimise treatment by adjusting doses, switching or stopping if appropriate
  • Use a secure IT platform for all patient interactions
  • Carry out clinical medication reviews and optimised therapy
  • Ensure any associated risks are managed
  • Keep up to date with any improvements in service by ensuring communications are read and actioned promptly
  • Reflect on personal practice regularly by reviewing recordings and notes, identifying gaps in knowledge and proactively learning, sharing with the group in turn
  • Support with new product features and be part of user research
Key skills and requirements
  • Required to be qualified as an Independent Prescriber, with a wide scope of practice
  • Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Excellent communicator
  • Be creative and innovative in thinking, having a strong patient oriented focus
  • IT literate & able to use multiple systems confidently
  • Confident in clinical knowledge and able to make clinical decisions independently
