03037 Independent prescriber Bristol £40,000 - £60,000 paWe are looking for an exceptional, dynamic & innovative individual to join the team as anindependent prescriber in our online pharmacy to review digital consultations from our NHSand Private patients in England.This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is able to make independent clinicaldecisions, can work independently and has excellent problem solving abilities.About us.As an online pharmacy based in Bristol, we offer patients the ability to request medicationvia our website using an online consultation which is reviewed by our team of prescribers.We believe that patients deserve accurate information to help them make the right decisionfor their health. Online pharmacies should take every precaution necessary beforeprescribing a medicine to their patients. We are registered with all the relevant UK regulatorybodies, including the CQC, to ensure that our service undergoes regular inspections to keepto the highest standards.About the role.Primarily an office based role in Bristol with some scope for hybrid working for the rightcandidate, this is a fast-paced environment where you have the opportunity to influencehealthcare in the future and pave the way for our profession by helping to constantly updatethe medications and processes that we use to prescribe.You will be carrying out online digital consultations where you will provide provision ofappropriate care based on patient need, ensuring patients receive a timely and appropriateresponse when working operationally.You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to care for both NHS and privatepatients on a daily basis.What do we offer A comprehensive onboarding plan Competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum Ongoing support for our pharmacists in the first few months of joining so you canconfidently work in a digital first healthcare setting safely. 25 days annual leave pro rated Full indemnity cover 5% employer pension contribution for 5% employee contribution A friendly, relaxed working environment Hybrid working for the right candidate Frequent team building and social events Regular appraisal including annual bonus and pay review based on performance.What youll work on Undertake online consultations and prescribe when appropriate During consultations we optimise treatment by adjusting doses, switching or stoppingif appropriate. Providing the outcome of complex patient queries to patients. Use our secure IT platform for all patient interactions Carry out clinical medication reviews and optimised therapy. Providing digital first care safely by ensuring any associated risks are managed. Keep up to date with any improvements in service by ensuring communications areread and actioned promptly, in line with guidance from the SuperintendentPharmacist and our GP. Sharing best practice and complex queries with colleagues to contribute to theongoing learning environment to better our clinical practice as a company. Reflect on personal practice regularly by reviewing recordings and notes, identifyinggaps in knowledge and proactively learning, sharing with the group in turn. Support with new product features and be part of user researchWho we are looking for Ideally suited to a newly qualified Independent prescriber Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) A confident prescriber, with a wide scope of practice As a minimum you must be able to undertake repeat prescription requests,medicines reconciliation, medication review and confidently prescribe in Asthma;Contraception; UTI and minor ailments OR be willing to upskill in these areas throughCPD before joining us. This scope of practice is subject to change where CPD will be provided if you areexpected to consult in a new area. Excellent communicator and team player You will be aware of your own limitations and of relevant national guidelines Be creative and innovative in thinking, having a strong patient oriented focus.. Follow complex clinical processes accurately and effectively. Loves technology, IT literate & able to use multiple systems confidently. Confident in clinical knowledge and able to make clinical decisions independently Ability to problem solve unique scenarios presented by patients Desire to improve both personal and organisational clinical practice all in the interestof the patient. Must be able to work on some weekendsStrongly Preferred Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Practice Experience in Primary care, Sexual Health or Dermatology Previous remote/online consulting experience
