Job Description

Climate17 are pleased to be partnering with a leading renewable power generator who operate a major portfolio of landfill gas assets across the UK.In this role you will work as a member of the HSQEC&S team, ensuring that strong safety culture is maintained across the company.This role will involve reporting directly to the Head of HSQEC & Sustainability and managing a team of 3 Regional HSQE Managers as well as providing HSQE support to all West sites.Close communication with the site teams, HSQE Construction Manager and the compliance team will be an integral part of the work.Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 3 HSQE Managers working closely with operations to lead the team and ensure targets and objectives are completed on time to a high standard.
  • Manage the development of HSE policies and procedures and ensure their implementation.
  • Providing in depth knowledge and support to the West Operations team and complete regular site visits to ensure HSQE compliance.
  • Provide support to all departments and teams as required, e.g., guidance on method statements, safe systems of work etc.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training and education initiatives.
  • Respond and investigate accidents and incidents as required, following up to ensure effective close-out.
  • Conduct audits, Fire Risk Assessments and ensure implementation of management systems to ISO 14001, 9001 and 45001 standards.
  • Monitor and analyse HSQE performance data, acting in a timely fashion on identified trends.
  • Ensuring all relevant documentation is up to date, reviewed and audited regularly.
  • Ensuring you are qualified and trained for the tasks you undertake and that you comply with the Companys procedures, policies, and relevant legislation.
RequirementsA strong communicator, the successful applicant will have:
  • Strong influencing, organisational and persuasion skills, whilst being able to achieve the correct balance between pragmatism and the steadfast maintenance of the highest standards of health and safety practice.
  • A good level of IT competence will also be required in applications such as PowerPoint, Maximo, Outlook etc.
