Job Description

HGV Class 1 Weekends24-7 Recruitment Services acting as an Employment Business are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Trunk Drivers on behalf of our client to join our well-known clients distribution site based in Severn Beach, Bristol (BS35 4DF).This HGV Driver position involves solely trunk/trunking work, delivering or swapping trailers of car parts or household goods to either 1 or 2 locations per shift. At each location the requirement will either be to swap a trailer or to wait until a liveload/unload has taken place before returning. Full training can be provided.We can offer:

  • every Saturday and/or Sunday work
  • Shift start times between 03:00am - 11:30am
HGV Class 1 Weekends Will Need To Ensure:
  • The safe delivery of goods to each store into the designated loading areas.
  • Ensuring the goods being delivered match against the delivery paperwork.
  • The collection of empty trays, pallets or cages.
  • Provide a high level of customer service that is always maintained.
  • Follow all company procedures and ensuring the accurate completion of all paperwork with each shift.
  • Abide by Health & Safety at all times to ensure you work in a manner that keeps you and your colleagues safe.
  • Always notify the Central Office at the earliest opportunity of any delays to your deliveries or if you are unable to make a delivery for any reason.
HGV Class 1 Required Skills:
  • Hold a valid a C+E License
  • Hold a valid Tacho and CPC card
  • No more than 6 points (No DDs, DRs, TTs or INs)
  • Have a minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience
  • assessment required prior starting
PAYE Rates for HGV Class 1:
  • Saturday - £20 per hour
  • Sunday - £22 per hour
This position is commutable from: Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Bath, Gloucester, Newport, Cardiff, ChepstowLogistics Distribution and Supply chain
