Job Description

Job Title: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Business PartnerLocation: Based in South West region within commutable distance from BristolSalary: Competitive salary + company car + benefitsJob Type: Full Time, PermanentWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Business Partner to join the Health, Safety & Environment team here at Redde Northgate. Redde Northgate was formed in early 2020 following a successful merger to become the UKs foremost integrated mobility solutions provider.This is a field support role where travel to other group locations will be required. To enable national coverage and support within the Group HSE team, our ideal candidate will be based in the South West region with commutable distance to Bristol and the role will offer a mixture of office and homebased working.Role overview:To provide professional services and advice in health safety & environment (HSE) arrangements across business units and the wider field. Primarily ensuring legal and industry compliance throughout all locations and business activities.You will work closely with and support senior managers across all business functions.Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains an ongoing awareness of legislation and advise employees at all levels
  • Promotes and raises HSE awareness and culture across business units
  • Provides support and advice as required on all HSE related issues
  • Analyse incident data to identify causes, trends and safe controls where appropriate
  • Carries out site visits, inspections and audits to monitor compliance and support continuous improvements
  • Ability to prepare detailed and professional reports in a timely manner
  • Supports in the implementation of audit findings and monitors compliance
  • Supports in helping produce risk assessments and all other HSE documentation as necessary
  • Ensures compliance with the Companys HSE policies, procedures and risk assessments
  • Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with employees at all levels and promote exceptional standards
  • Identifies and reports any non-compliance and assist in rectifying promptly and professionally
  • Carries out HSE training as and when required
  • Carries out accident investigations and produces reports which identify causes and actions to prevent reoccurrence
  • Organises and attends HSE committee meetings within business units
  • Meets with suppliers / service providers when required to ensure they meet with company and legal requirements
  • Performs ad hoc tasks as considered appropriate with the role
  • Able to react within reasonable timeframes and attend incidents to support and help investigate
  • Prepared to commit to further personal development training
  • Communicate effectively and professional with external local authorities where the need may arise
  • Person Specification:Essential
  • Previous experience of working within a HSE role is necessary
  • Nebosh General Certificate and at least two years post experience after gaining the qualification
  • Committed to further personal development training to support and improve knowledge
  • A team player who works well against timescales and can deal with issues confidently
  • Good communicator who can build and develop relationships at all levels
  • Sensible and practical approach to issues and problem solving
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Flexible approach to daily duties
  • Able to prioritise workload
  • Able to use own initiative
  • Identifies & engages key stakeholders to ensure support in all HSE matters
  • Holds full driving licence
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, word, Microsoft calendar and power point
  • Desirable
  • NVQ Level Five in Occupational Health & Safety or a Nebosh Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Grad IOSH, working towards Chartered Status
  • IEMA level 3 environmental qualification or equivalent
