SF Recruitment are looking for a Health & Safety Consultant to be based in the South West of England to work on a project for a global business. This contact will run until August 2021 The main duties of the role of the HSE Contractor (Backlog Team) will include but not limited to: - Safeguarding the health and safety of employees, subcontractors and third parties - Minimising the risks posed to safety and health by the activities of the business - Ensuring compliance with local health, safety and environmental legislation - Completing Health and Safety (Safety in Design) audits. - Completing task specific Risk Assessments and/ or review of existing. - Completing initial Workplace Transport Risk Assessments or review of existing. - Completing initial Fire Risk Assessments or review of existing. - Completing Safe Systems of Work or review of existing. - Preparation of regular reports as required and project status updates - Assisting in the continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environment Management performance - Maintenance of BSI quality standards ISO 4500, ISO 14001 & ISO 50001 Experience, Qualifications and Qualities - A minimum of 5 years HSE Advisory experience - Experience of either; transport / logistics / distribution / warehousing is essential - NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ L5 or equivalent essential - NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent is essential - CMIOSH or working towards is preferable - ISO 45001 Lead Auditor preferable - Ability to pragmatically risk assess to current standards and best practice - Effective communicator at all levels - A working knowledge of computers, particularly MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel - A good-natured, flexible and pragmatic approach to risk management is essential The HSE Contractor will report directly to the Program Manager. This role will be primarily to support the Team in completion of a variety of HSE and Risk Management related activities and tasks.
