This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global tech company that operates within the shipping and relocation industry. They specialise in developing digital solutions that enable customers to send personal effects overseas. They are seeking an experienced and creative Head of Technology/Tech Lead to help drive the business forward and maintain their position as a market leader in an industry worth over £100b.Key responsibilities will be to:- Work across the entire business, understanding requirements of all departments and ensuring our tech strategy is aligned with overall company goals.- Manage all tech projects from start to finish, ensuring objectives are defined and that delivery is on time.- Ensure and maintain high quality coding.- Collaborate with the development departments of our partner organisations, as well as with freelancers and specialists, ensuring targets are met and providing support where necessary.- Identify and manage risk throughout projects to mitigate impact on deadlines.- Innovate and design technical solutions to specific, industry specific problems.- Ensure processes, and the software development lifecycle, are maintained at efficient and optimal levels.- Communicate software and system development progress to key stakeholders.- Work with managed service firm to maintain the efficient operation of the platform.- Ownership of product and system Backlogs.- Tracking metrics across the platform.- Use of analytical tools to ensure platform operation is understood and monitored.To be considered for this opportunity, you must be able to demonstrate:- Full stack experience, with knowledge and expertise in both LAMP Stack and MEAN Stack.- Experience with Azure DevOps.- A creative and commercial mindset.- The ability to code, and to remain hands-on while leading a team.- Leadership or project / product management experience.- Great communication skills - providing clear data and relaying technical updates simply.- The ability and desire to take initiative and assume responsibility.- A data-driven approach to making decisions.This is a unique opportunity to develop strategy and lead the technology function in a growing company, where there is also potential to move into an executive level role.If this sounds of interest, then please apply for consideration.Salary expectation: £75,000 per annumLocation: RemoteJob type: Permanent
