Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Sales, to join our contemporary and energetic Letting Agency.The Head of Sales will be responsible for successfully overseeing the Sales department, inclusive of positively implementing change, managing quality and allocation and of work, being cognisant of resource needs, team engagement and any risks on the horizon,whilst effectively delivering the Sales strategy and looking for ways to improve processes and practices for optimal efficacy.Were looking for someone who can engage and motive a team to hit targets, while coaching and mentoring direct reports and the wider team, to support their development.Reporting to the Managing Director and sitting on the Leadership Team, the successful person will possess a strong sense of leadership, tenacity, and competitiveness, be able to implement change effectively and positively and poses a strategic, proactive,and problem-solving mindsetOur service led culture is pivotal to the success of the business and it will be your mission to ensure that the Sales team are delivering an honest, informed, and professional service.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure there are innovative, intuitive, and robust systems, processes, and practices in place to deliver an effective sales service, developing and implementing changes as required.
  • Foster and maintain a strategic, innovative, and motived sales culture, that enables healthy competition.
  • Efficiently line manage the Valuers and Senior Lettings Negotiator(s) and be involved in stages of the employee lifecycle as required.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other Heads of Departments.
  • Share with the other members of the Leadership team, responsibility and accountability for the provision of high-quality service to Landlords and Tenants.
  • Engage with and be cognisant of sector trends, changes and updates.
  • Assist in the development of fee structures, sales products, and services.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to new and existing clients, landlords and tenants alike.
  • Generate letting leads and convert these to instructions, whilst overseeing all new business leads and instructions and managing a pipeline.
  • Conduct property valuations and market properties.
  • Maximise income profit by agreeing maximum fees whilst remaining competitive in the market.
  • Contribute to the annual marketing strategy.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to help drive lead generation.
  • Identify viable business and networking opportunities to maximise brand exposure.
  • Ensure adherence to Anti Money Laundering regulations.
  • Stay up to date with lettings legislation.
  • Prepare and present cyclical reports to the Managing Director and Heads of Departments, on the performance of the department against the KPIs, monthly reporting of sales stats, new business and letting performance.
Essential Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in residential lettings
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a valuation role
  • Working in a leadership role
  • Team management
  • Strong relationship and rapport building
  • Empathetic and emotionally intelligent
  • Able to demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and accountability
  • In-depth knowledge of the Bristol Market (desirable)
  • ARLA Level 3 or 4 (desirable)
