Head of QualityBristol - £50 - £60kJob Type: Full-time, PermanentIf you are an experienced quality professional who is looking for their next career move, then this could be ideal for you.The company are a rapidly growing business in the defence sector and are looking for an energetic and self-motivated person to take responsibility for all aspects of quality management within a dynamic and evolving environment.As the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust quality management system, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization. You will play a crucial role in maintainingcompliance with industry standards and regulations while promoting excellence in all aspects of operations.Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system aligned with industry standards, best practices, and client requirements.Establish quality policies, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure adherence to quality standards.Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.Provide guidance and support to project teams in the implementation of quality processes and procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality-related issues, and drive corrective and preventive actions.Develop and deliver training programs to enhance quality awareness and competency across the organization.Foster a culture of quality excellence through effective communication, coaching, and mentoring.Lead the journey to attaining ISO 45001.Qualifications:Strong Quality Management background including diverse demonstrable experience within a quality function, ideally within the defence or technical type industry, with a proven track record in delivering effective quality strategies, policies, processes andsystems.Educated to degree level in a relevant commercial or engineering discipline or equivalent NVQ Level 6 qualification.Appropriate qualification in quality management.Fully Conversant with the requirements of ISO9001.Internal / External auditing experience.Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.An ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.Experience of operating and influencing within a business management team.Membership of an industry related professional body.
