Job Description Morgan McKinley is working with a successful, global business based in the Bristol area, to recruit a Head of Compliance into a pivotal role. Head of ComplianceThe RoleMy client is growing rapidly, and this role will be pivotal in managing the Groups compliance, regulatory and reputational risks. This role sits within the Legal & Compliance function with 2 direct reports, and will have accountability for ensuring that internalcontrols are in place and each business area complies with the relevant laws, regulations and internal procedures, offering guidance and implement relevant governance frameworks as required. The remit for this role is broad, and you will be required to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty. You will ultimately have overall responsibility for Compliance, ensuring compliance monitoring and reporting is in place across the business, and youwill need to keep on top of regulatory developments, challenging the business on compliance and conduct matters and maintaining effective compliance and risk frameworks. You will manage a broad range of stakeholders in this role, including the audit committee and both Country and HR Managers across Europe. This will therefore require you to travel, so that you can get out into the business and understand how it works, in orderto provide appropriate help and advice. The PersonTo be considered for this role you will be an experienced and qualified compliance professional with international experience, including knowledge of European legislation. You will be a strong, pragmatic operator who can prioritise effectively, and FCA knowledge is useful but not essential. You will also be self sufficient, resilient and robust, with the ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders and often conflicting priorities. Hybrid / flexible working is also on offer - ideally2 days per week in the office, but this is potentially open to negotiation for the right person.
