Job Description

  • About the roleResponsibilities will be expected to be developed and finalised over time and will include but will not be restricted to:
  • Providing administrative support to the Governance Team as required including arranging and supporting internal and external meetings (including identifying dates, booking venues, catering, travel and hotel arrangements for board trustees and committee members, collating and distributing papers)
  • Managing the expenditure process by raising e-requisitions, monitoring purchase orders, invoices, payments and processing expense claims, working with external suppliers as required
  • Providing support to the Jisc board and supporting committees by ensuring that our online board paper environment (Board Packs) and communication methods such as Jiscmail lists utilised by the board and committees are up to date and accurate
  • Maintaining the company register of interests and gift register under the guidance of the Deputy Company Secretary
  • Assisting the Executive Leadership Team with supporting the Jisc board and committees by ensuring that meetings and deadlines for papers are scheduled in good time
  • Inputting details of core funding body income into our contracts system and monitoring receipt of payments against the expected profile
  • Contributing to adhoc internal governance projects as necessary.
