Job Description

    • We’re helping a really cool start-up who are building an app that helps people to learn and fine tune their singing! Following their pre-seed early this year, they’ve built an MVP and are looking to hire a Front-End Engineer to own the front-end side of their app. This year they were featured in the Top 30 most innovative start-ups and won an award for Sustainable Innovation, which has left them in a healthy position to start building out app functionality with various complexities which utilises Google’s AI tech. This is a fantastic opportunity to act as a lead member in driving their product forwards. *This is a fully remote role now and will involve a trip to HQ once a month once restrictions relax*What skills youll be needing
  • Angular (v9-10).
  • HTML5, CSS3.
  • Strong UI development skills.
  • GIT.
  • Automated UI testing.
  • Unit testing of services.
  • Good eye for design and understanding of UX design principles.
    • Bonus points for any of the following
  • TypeScript.
  • Building APIs.
  • Database design & management.
  • Cloud experience.
  • Microservice architecture.
  • Experience with Material Design.
  • Experience with PWAs.
  • Use of Google Cloud and/or Firebase.
  • Experience with mobile apps.
    • What youll be doingLooking after the front-end development side they’ll be looking for you to come in and own the UI element of this incredibly exciting product. They’re looking to add extra complexities and features to the app including Google AI tech, a social network, an innovative analytics function and much more. Having built an MVP and being awarded significant funding in double-quick time, they’re looking to take the product to market within 6 months and you’ll play a key role. With a couple of developers onboard and a UI designer on the way, this is a great time to come in and instil good development practice, supporting UI testing and write great code for some really creative projects.What youl get in return for your talentsThe business is very remote friendly, they’re happy for you to be majority home-based with the odd trip to the studio when required. There are ambitious plans to grow the team so you can expect this role to evolve into more of a Tech Lead position as the business / product progresses, and they’re constantly looking for new and emerging tech to integrate into their stack so you can be sure you’ll working progressively here.
