Manpower are thrilled to be working alongside an industry leading UK client who are looking for a candidate to cover a member of the senior management team who has had to take a lengthy period of absence for a period of around 6 months.This will include all operational aspects and policy and direction, as well as meeting financial targets, KPIs, and all legal requirements/industry standards. The role is likely to be around 37 hours per week as is to ensure continuity of leadership for the function.Fully Remote for 6 months however you may have to rarely travel to any of the 4 UK sites if needed.Pro Rata salary of £52,500, working to an hourly pay rate of £27.28 per hour. 37 hours per week.The role will involve but is not limited to.Manage and support 4 teams of staff, Fleet Support Manager - Central Fleet team, 3 Workshop Managers & on site teams. This included staff reporting/procedures/H&S procedures/Financial control/Procurement to ensure they meet the business requirements.Manage the process meeting all legal and organisational procedures and best practise to ensuring VME (Vehicles Machinery and Equipment) is supplied for each as agreed in business planning. This includes supply of the equipment, supply of appropriate vehicles, fuel and SMR (Service Maintenance and Repair) for all VME.The fleet team also provide the managed Hire Car provision contract for all departments, the delivery of a Company Car Scheme which is available to qualifying staff and respective contracts and procurement of the respective vehicles within the policy.Manage the change to low emission vehicles and machines and the required changes needed to support them both logistical and financial.Meet the business needs for the supply of VME and following procurement procedures to ensure all purchase are suitable meeting H&S and industry best practice operational areas, procurement and operation support of the Fleet which is diverse and made up of c600 road vehicles, harvesting machines and Forest tractors & other equipment circa 2000 items.Prepare and manage the business plan, ensuring that agreed budgets are achieved, seeking variances where required. VME is charged to each Cost centre monthly at a pre agreed cost rate. Ensure the capital and lease budgets are used appropriately and reported/forecast on to ensure everything is running as planned.The Fleet management system is current being replaced and the procurement process is ongoing with the successful system likely to be operational in April or May 2021 and the transitional and procedural change the selected system requires need to be planned for and implemented to ensure staff have the knowledge and tools available to make the change and take advantage of any additional functionality the deliver their respective responsibilities as effectively as possible with minimal disruption.If you have experience of implementing a new Fleet Management system, this would be an advantage but it isnt essential.
