Job Description

I am looking for a Finance Administrator £24,000 per annum (Pro Rata), to join a leading property company based in Portishead.This is a Fixed Term Contract (6 Months)Our client in Portishead has a great opportunity for a Finance Administrator to join their team. Based within a few minutes walk of the Marina, the high street, shops and restaurants with free parking and great public transport links to Bristol.The Finance Administrator plays a crucial role in the companys success.Main responsibilities of the Finance Administrator will include:

  • Processing Purchase to Pay activities for your allocated business area and suppliers.
  • Assist with the Purchase Order (PO) system and processes, including new supplier requests, supplier and user queries.
  • Managing supplier accounts and handling any queries that arise.
  • Assist in managing e-trading supplier accounts and invoicing.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Assist with the invoice accruals process.
  • Preparing, processing and recording all transactions relating to Purchase to Pay.
  • Prepare all journals relevant to business area, as directed by the Purchase to Pay Manager.
  • Extracting data from systems to assist in the preparation of financial reports for Purchase to Pay activities.
  • Processing prepaid card/credit card statements for 3rd party purchases and preparing expenditure reconciliation journals.
  • Elevating problems and issues to the Purchase to Pay Manager where applicable, in good time to aid timely resolution.
  • Assisting the Purchase to Pay Manager in delivering Value for Money to the business through Purchase to Pay processes and activities.
Person Specification:What skills, experience and qualifications do you need in order to do the role
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent customer focus and ability to improve customer satisfaction.
  • A proficient user of Excel/spreadsheets.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Be proactive in finding solutions to problems and issues.
  • Ability to analyse accounting data and conduct variance analysis.
  • Ability to understand, plan and control work within strict time constraints.
It would be great if you also had:
  • AAT qualified level 2 qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles and practices.
  • Experience of computerised financial systems.
