Job Description

External Communications OfficerVacancy Ref: 7006910Venn Group are currently recruiting for an External Communications Officer on behalf of a well-regarded Public Sector organisation in Bristol.The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of marketing and communications campaigns to meet the organisation’s service objectives and ensure delivery of a broad spectrum of communications disciplines including marketing, behaviour change campaigns, media relations and social media.Location: BristolDuration: 4-5 monthsRate: £18-£20/hour umbrellaIR35 status: InsideResponsibilities:

  • Providing qualified communications advice and reputational management expertise to colleagues and partners
  • Supporting with monitoring and evaluating external communication campaigns, media coverage and social media
  • Participating in Newsdesk rota to ensure all media requests are responded to accurately and positively reflect the reputation of the organisation
  • Producing inclusive and accessible communications and promoting good equalities practice and value diversity across the service
    • Essential experience:
  • Degree or relevant equivalent industry qualification or significant experience of working in a marketing or communications role
  • Experience with a broad spectrum of communications disciplines including marketing, behaviour change campaigns, media relations and social media
  • Ability to create, edit, proof and present information effectively in different formats
