Job Description

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a civil engineering and infrastructure contractor that are working in collaboration with several private clients on a various major infrastructure project in England. They are seeking an Estimator to join a busy teaminvolved in estimating projects during the pre-contract/tender stage for a variety of rail projects.This is a reputable company, that mainly works as a main contractor nationally on rail, civils and engineering projects. They have a range of high value projects with specialisms in civil, buildings, mechanical and maintenance sectors.You will be reporting to the Head of Estimating in a small team. As an Estimator, your role will be to prepare estimates in line with their policies and duties that include (but not limited to):

  • Registration, control and administration of tender documentation
  • Completing take offs from drawings
  • Compiling a tenderbook for internal reviews and settlement
  • Preparing and managing of tenders from initial receipt through to delivery
  • Liaising with supply chain teams in relation to supplier and subcontractor enquiries
  • Preparing tender submission documents and estimating reports
  • Assisting in proposal and contract management functions
