Job Description

Employment Solicitor To £50k DOEDue to unprecedented demand one of our Bristol based law firms is looking to bring a dynamic and driven employment solicitor into their team to help it develop and grow.In addition to having outstanding academics this candidate will be confident in networking, building the business pipeline and representing our client as they expand their business. This role is ideally suited for an ambitious candidate with 4-5 years PQE who hopes to head up a department in the future.Key responsibilities

  • Working independently on a range of employment files and all aspects of associated work in an effective and timely way
  • Achieving billing targets set in agreement with the Head of Department
  • Offering help where needed to other members of staff in other departments or locations
  • Managing staff and contribute to a positive culture as the department grows
  • Liaising with Head of Department on professional development and training needs as well as business development and networking opportunities
  • Being aware of proper professional standards and the reputation of the business in all interactions
    • Key SkillsThe successful candidate will have both contentious and non-contentious experience in an employment team and will be able to reference experience advising across sectors on:
  • Contracts
  • Policies and procedures
  • Recruitment and terminations
  • Restrictive covenants
  • Reorganisations and redundancies
  • Employment tribunals
