Electrical Design Engineer Must be eligible for SC ClearanceSalary:- £50-55k + £5k Car Allowance + BensEnvironment : - Electrical Design, IT, Telecoms, Low Voltage Power, Datacentre, Nuclear, BS 5839, BS 7671, IET Wiring Regs, Electrical Design Packages.Location - Bristol@NTech is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for this large scale managed services provider. The role would be creating Electrical Designs to Power IT and Communications Systems,Role:-Working as part of a multi skilled technical team you will be responsible for all aspects of the preparation of Electrical documentation. You will also be responsible for the delivery of design packages and the implementation of designs for powering IT and communication systems for one of the biggest civil engineering projects in the UKThis will require the candidate to be able to multi-task across several systems to ensure optimum power requirement is deliver to a specified resilience matrix. To do this effectively the candidate shall be able to communicate effectively with Project Managers, technical design staff and the Client to prioritise work and ensure project delivery requirements are satisfied.Deliverables:-Responsible for the design of Low Voltage Electrical Systems up to 1000v A.C, DC and UPSSystems for implementation onto customer sites.Responsible for the verification of designs against the relevant specificationsProducing equipment lists to support the build phaseProviding technical support relating to the installation of the designSkills - Nuclear Industry Background preferred but not essentialNuclear engineering assurance processes.Experience as CRE on engineering projects or similar position in design industry.Earthing and bonding arrangements for low voltage electrical installation on UK rail network & LUL infrastructureBS 5839 and BS 7671, IET wiring regulations.Knowledge of computer aided design packages for electrical design including Amtech and AutoCAD.IT literate, with experience on MS Office applications.Qualifications Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in the appropriate discipline. Depth and breadth of experience may be considered where these qualifications have not been attained.Preferred but not essential and equivalent qualifications will be reviewed:City & Guilds 2396 Design, Erection and VerificationCity & Guilds 2394 Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical InstallationsCity & Guilds 2395 Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of ElectricalInstallationsCity & Guilds 2382 - 17th Edition Wiring Requirements for Electrical InstallationsCity & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 (Or equivalent)Personal Characteristics and Experience:
