Job Description

.NET Developer (UK Remote)Robert Half is proud to be partnering with a rapidly growing bespoke business within the finance industry, who recently went through a new business acquisition and is on a steady trajectory of growth. This is a truly fantastic opportunity to become partof the core foundation of the development team as it grows, while operating with a high level of autonomy.RoleAs a .NET Developer, you will work directly with the Technical Director to maintain and improve internal business applications, in addition to developing new applications and functionalities. This work will be key in driving the business forwards and helpingto ensure they become market leaders. Some of your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Developing new applications for both internal and external use.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies, techniques, testing and documentation.
  • Work closely alongside senior members of the business to contribute new ideas, having an input into new projects.
  • Keep information security as a key consideration throughout the full cycle of any project you are part of.
  • Work closely with other teams within the business to see how your development work translates into market-leading products.
Competencies:
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to work that is assigned.
  • Positive "can do" attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
Technical skills:
  • Proficiency with C#/ASP.NET Core
  • Knowledge of source control
  • Experience with Docker or other containerisation tools
  • Experience with SQL
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of MVC architecture
  • Knowledge of deployment into cloud infrastructures
