Job Description

Pivotal Construction Services are looking for a Domestic Gas Engineer to work with a well-established construction company based in Bristol. On a permanent basis.Duties: To undertake repair, maintenance and installation of gas, plumbing and heating systems in various properties.Main responsibilities:To undertake heating engineering & plumbing duties including reactive repairs, servicing of boilers, fires and other appliances, installations and associated works.

  • To undertake the installation of new heating systems in accordance with manufacturers instructions, industry best practice codes and practice and legislation.
  • To issue notices and certificates required by the relevant regulations relating to gas safety.
  • To attend appointments as scheduled and instructed.
  • To adhere to manufacturers instructions when servicing, repairing or installing appliances.
  • To provide information to allow records to be updated following service and Testing and issue Landlord Gas Safety record using electronic or manual documentation.
  • To manage stock from authorised suppliers, materials required to undertake works through the approved order system
  • To take part in the on-call system to provide 24/7 emergency cover across our property portfolio.
  • To drive company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner and to ensure that the vehicle is maintained to appropriate standards.
  • To ensure that vehicles operated by the gas and plumbing team are operated in a safe and courteous manner and represent the company in a positive way to our residents and the general public.
  • To complete all relevant training and certifications as required by regulations.
  • To maintain regular contact with the Team Leader and colleagues to obtain instructions and resolve working problems.
  • To record completed works and maintain accurate record of work carried out including measurements and calculations. Whilst this job description attempts to cover the main duties and responsibilities of the post it is not exhaustive. The post holder is therefore expected to undertake any other reasonable duties within their capabilities and the scope of the post as specified by their line manager. In such circumstances appropriate training will be provided.

  • 1 in 8-10 weeks call out rota
  • Hours are 42.5 per week. With Overtime available
  • Overtime is standard time and half raising to double time on Sundays
  • Standard holidays 20 + Stats and SSP
    • Call Matty on or if available.
