We love them all the same and so will you.We are looking for an experienced CakePHP Developer to join our digital team - either permanently or on a 9 month fixed term contract. The reason Well, growth and demand for our digital solutions and one of our developers is taking time out for family reasons - after 10 years of working with us. So we need some additional development resource to continue with his projects, work on new ones and provide support on existing client websites until he returns - and beyond. We plan to continue growing so while he will return, we hope to increase our development team capacity so your role doesn’t end there (unless you want it to). And rest assured, that developer will still work with us as a retained consultant during his break, so will be on hand for any questions you may have on existing projects or to collaborate on approaches to new ones.We’re based in Bristol but you can work for us from anywhere - we have office space (when it’s safe to return to offices) but many of our developers are based remotely so the choice is yours.Role backgroundYou will be working in a LAMP environment, developing bespoke CMS websites using CakePHP. Some are existing sites that will require maintenance, some require new features to be added and some are new websites from scratch.The sites are a mixture of careers sites, often integrating with third party systems or APIs, and some are corporate sites.Skills requiredEssential:
