Job Description

The Demand Analyst will be responsible for the short term and long term demand forecasts with a view to maximise efficiency and minimise wastage, these plans in turn will be translated into daily production plans.Client DetailsOur client is a well know FMCG food manufacturer based in the Bristol area, their products service both the retail and the hospitality sector and have won numerous awards for quality and sustainability.DescriptionKey responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

  • Convert long term S&OP weekly forecast into a daily demand outlook for factory planning considering variables such as weather, sales intelligence and recent bias.
  • Manage short term forecast requests for new promotional events outside of the S&OP cycle.
  • Collaborate with supermarkets and other large customers on NPD launches & promotional activity to generate an accurate collaborative sell-in forecast
  • Review customer supplied forecasts for key channels and adjust factory demand outlook accordingly
  • Take part and input into monthly S&OP key meetings and process with wider S&OP team.
  • Preparation of fact-based analysis of forecast performance and month on month changes, for weekly and monthly reviews.
  • Responsible for setting up new BI reports to support supply chain and S&OP teams.
  • Key user on demand planning software
  • Weekly reporting on forecast accuracy and bias, demand outlook changes & other supply chain reports.
  • Generating and reviewing rough cut capacity planning with wider factory team as part of monthly S&OP cycle.
    • ProfileThis role would be well suited to candidates with demonstrable backgrounds in Data analysis or Demand Planning.The successful candidate will possess;
  • High level of proficiency in Excel
  • Demonstrable background in a data focused role, excellent Data analysis and visualisation skills
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Good understanding of Supply chain
  • Ideally some exposure to forecasting demand
  • Previous experience in Power BI is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in SQL is highly desirable
