Job Description

We stay at the cutting edge of retailing;consistently providing outstanding customer service and winning global retail awards.About the role:You will oversee the delivery of multiple projects and technology initiatives, taking requirements from the business, completing analysis and creating relevant documentation; and leading the development and testing activities with a combination of in-houseand third party development teams.You will generate requirements and work with development teams to outline a solution design and create an overall delivery plan for development, testing and implementationensuring that business and technical change activities are considered. You willthen be responsible for executing this plan, delivering to time, cost and quality expectations while providing relevant delivery reporting and adhering to project governance standards.This role is both internally customer facing, with cross-functional interaction from Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Operations and IT departments; and externally facing to third party technology providers. This role acts as a pivotal project focus pointfor all parties.Key AccountabilitiesProcess Improvement and Change Delivery

  • Form excellent working relationships with stakeholders across the business, to understand their business objectives and key challenges, demands and issues.
  • Support business teams with analysis and requirements gathering to provide outline specifications, that can form the basis of solution design for development teams
  • Identify business process synergies and improvements, prevent process silos, and document new and modified business processes as required.
  • Alongside business users and technical teams, develop plans to deliver projects and initiatives to time, cost and quality expectations.
  • Lead execution of the delivery plan, supporting with business analysis, requirements definition and testing activities as a member of the team
  • Create clear, accurate and realistic implementation plans, taking into consideration business and technical needs and planning required resources.
Requirements Gathering and Planning
  • Lead the requirements gathering process, reviewing the as-is processes and solution modelling to-be processes, in conjunction with key users from across the business.
  • Use business analysis techniques to review and prioritise business requirements.
  • Support key users to develop user stories, facilitating where required.
  • Identify and analyse opportunities to replace bespoke functionality with standard functionality where appropriate.
  • Use appropriate techniques to ensure full traceability of requirements.
  • Work with the wider project team to plan work packages/sprints to ensure new functionality is delivered at appropriate intervals.
About you:
  • Background in a Business Analysis or Project Lead role for a retailer, wholesaler or similar, with a track record of delivering technical solutions to support key business processes.
  • Hands-on experience of change delivery in a customer-facing commercial organisation (i.e. project planning, requirements gathering, testing, implementation).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
  • Proven ability to accurately plan and deliver project activities, leading execution of the plan, reporting, and tracking through to completion
  • Generates high quality process documentation.
  • Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions.
  • Structured planning, organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
