Job Description

Location: Home basedContract: PermanentHours: 37.5 hoursSalary: £40,000 to £47,000We have an exciting opportunity for a Database Administrator to join our growing BI & Data team, responsible for supporting the current data needs of our business from a database administration perspective, as well as providing SOA solutions in partnershipwith the development teams.Reporting to the Database Administration Lead, you will work as part of our talented team to ensure our databases are performant to underpin our group applications. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Database performance fine tuning.
  • Producing, maintaining, and ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.
  • Maintaining the security of our Database.
  • Working with Business analysts and systems analysts to identify issues and solve problems.

  • You have experience in Database technologies and a good understanding of SQL development and scripting tools.
  • You are experienced in Database administration, including back-ups, maintenance, performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Youll hold excellent knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server StackSSMS, SSAS, SSIS & SSRS.
  • Youre able to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • You have a good understanding of database architecture and database design.
  • Youre passionate about providing a great service to internal and external customers.
