Job Description

Data Scientist Bristol£65,000 + benefitsHarnham are working exclusively with the Data Science unit of a leading UK telco to help build out their machine learning team in the UK.They have 20 people working across Bristol, Birmingham and London, and are now hiring multiple positions across all 3 locations.Vital for this role is to be able apply complex machine learning knowledge to real-world challenges faced by the business.The Role - Data ScientistYou will be:

  • Building end-to-end machine learning systems for the business
  • Initially focusing on recommender systems and customer behaviour / marketing projects
  • Translating business challenges and converting them into clear and concise projects which deliver impact
  • Helping to deploy models to the cloud (GCP)
  • Spending x2 days a month on your own learning and development / side projects
    • Experience - Data ScientistYou will have:
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.
  • Experience using Python is a must (tools like GCP and Spark are beneficial)
  • A strong knowledge of statistical/machine learning models applied to real-world problems
  • A keen interest in problem solving and using scalable machine learning to solve the biggest data-related problems
