Job Description

Credit Control Manager

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
  • Salary: Between £38,000 - £43,000 per annum.
We are seeking a Credit Control Manager to join a growing team in Bristol!This role is crucial for ensuring financial reporting aligns with best practice procedures and client requirements, delivering accurate and timely results, including period-end reporting and continuous improvement of accounting services. Day to Day of the Role:
  • Lead and manage a team, including training, and performance management.
  • Maintain a portfolio ofclients, ensuring adherence to specific KPIs.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the Credit Control function to best serve client needs.
  • Produce detailed reporting, including Collection Statistics by region and sector.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulationsand Statutory Demands.
  • Provide clients with recommendations to protect their interests while recovering balances.
  • Manage timely collection of alldebts.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to chase payment of outstanding debts until a settlement is received.
  • Resolve queries or disputes in collaboration with client accounting colleagues.
  • Update information on the database, including contact details, arrears notes, and payment information.
  • Assist the cashiering team in the correct allocation of monies received and reduce unallocated cash.
  • Issue demands, credits, and any supporting documentation as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A professional and organised approach to work.
  • A positive and helpful attitude within a team environment.
  • Very experienced with managing a successful team.
  • Previous credit control experience is essential.
