We are looking to hire a UK Corporate Tax Compliance Manager who will be part of an extremely high-profile group tax team within a household blue chip technology company.This is fantastic opportunity to be part of market leading, transformative, dynamic environment. This role falls within the UK corporate tax team and forms a key part in fulfilling its UK corporate tax compliance obligations, whilst also operating efficientlyand maximising the opportunity that recent system changes present in an environment where HMRC are moving to digitalise tax compliance.Tax is a specialist function within the Group Finance, Strategy and Business Services. They own the relationship with tax authorities and external stakeholders. Striving to ensure that their specialist issues are widely understood by Customer Facing Unitsand other Corporate units by working together they ensure that the group meets its compliance obligations globally and controls financial risks. The functional structure is designed to create a simpler, more dynamic business creating opportunities for people.The main responsibilities of the role include:* Manage the annual corporation tax compliance cycle. Preparation/review of statutory account disclosures through to tax return submissions for a proportion of the subsidiary portfolio (c30 entities).* Responsible for initial preparation and oversight of tax treatment assessments on treasury related matters including, corporate interest restriction return, corporate interest restriction modelling and forecasting, monitoring of tax hedging arrangementsand applicability of disregard regulations.* Responsible for initial assessment and ongoing management of the UK tax position associated with the Groups internal capital management structure, including treaty clearances for intercompany loans and Double Tax Relief (DTR) assessments.* Liaise with and support the wider Group tax team in relation to international tax matters that may impact UK Corporation Tax Compliance (e.g. CFCs, DTR etc).* Provide input for the transfer pricing Master File on specific areas, including (intragroup loans and guarantee fees), and assist the offshore TP team with ad hoc transfer pricing issues.* Support the personal and technical development of the offshore team in India.* Support efficiency improvements through the development of processes and controls in anticipation of Making Tax Digital and the internal Making Finance Brilliant programme (new SAP4/Hana).* Seek opportunities for the development and improvement of data information processes that underpin the tax returns.* Assist with the provision of ad hoc tax advice and planning support to the UK businesses.The role also provides key support to business functions eg customer and payment teams, treasury functions etc and also ensures that the groups internal capital structure is optimised from a tax perspective.If you are a fully qualified accountant/CTA, have an in depth knowledge of UK corporation tax, can communicate effectively and influence and educate stakeholders in a proactive manner then this role could be for you and apply below.
