Contract Game Developer Bristol/Remote Outside IR35 - 9 months. These lovely lot are a self-funded and FAST growing company, currently 22 full time staff with big plans! They apply scientific and engineering methods to create high performance and user centered experienced.They have been very successful since opening in 2016, mainly because they are much more responsive, commercially competitive and much more fast paced than other consultancies, always ensuring there end client is getting value for their money. Its chilled, everyone loves the tech and everyone there is hands on.The business at the moment is split into two areas: A generating engineering consultancy. Hands on development tasks and consultancy revolving around RF networks, mobile compute, wireless systems etc and then a research programmed focussed on the ethical application of Machine Learning at the tactical edge. They have very talented engineers, ranging from ex-Google Android specialists to Machine Learning engineers.They have been backed by a large innovation fund and looking for a Game Developer to come on board until April 2021 where you will take full control in building this game for the business. You will have all the autonomy to build this how you see fit. You will be required to create a game which will be used by first responders and must be engaging to maximise its uptake. This will also allow human users to validate the results and effectiveness of the AI players. The look and feel will be deliberately abstract in its approach (think a lidar point cloud or Tron), to avoid confusion over the levels of realism represented in the underlying models. The tool itself will comprise of a scenario generator, a small number of rooms across two floors, selectable agent attributes, and include standard interaction methods such as radial menus.I can provide further details offline.
