Job Description

We are delighted to be working with a FTSE 100 listed Telecommunications business looking for a Finance Manager to join the Finance Team. Due to the continuing growth they are currently looking for a Finance Manager to provide direct assistance to the SeniorFinance Manager. This position will perform a pivotal role in helping the business to drive their growth plans forward and offers a clear progression structure.As the Finance Manager for this large organisation a few key responsibilitys Your key responsibilities:

  • Youll be a subject matter expert, owning the published results and relationships with key stakeholders for one area of our regulatory reporting.
  • Youll own the revenue calculation and cost attribution methodologies that we use to generate results in your specialist area. Sometimes these are directed by Ofcom, so well rely on your expert knowledge of Ofcoms detailed directions.
  • Youll write analytical commentary to explain the key drivers of our results both internally and for publication.
  • Youll lead on changing our methodologies. We require concise, clear documentation thatll allow all stakeholders to understand and approve the changes youre making.
  • Youll build relationships with colleagues across the organisation. Well rely on you to obtain approval from senior-level colleagues representing your area before we can publish results.
The skills youd need:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualified experience
  • Strong analytical skills, as youll need to be comfortable analysing large datasets to understand the impact of complex methodologies
  • Great communication skills to explain your work to non-subject matter experts
  • Strong understanding of core Microsoft Excel techniques, and experience with other Microsoft Office applications
  • Track record of delivering significant departmental improvements
