Job Description

Job Title: Coffee Field Sales/Account Manager Location: Midlands and The South (M5, M4 and South Coast)Job Sector: Coffee/Sales Job Type: PermanentSalary: Up to £30,000 p.a + car + monthly bonus (uncapped)Job Ref: SS/23805The Company

  • One of the worlds largest and most successful coffee roasters offering the widest range of commercial coffee machines to market.
  • These include traditional, bean to cup, filter, nitro and vending.
  • They roast, grind and cup their own coffee and are able to offer their impressive customer base a first - class maintenance and barista training service.
About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for the management, development, and retention of existing national and independent hotel customers within your geographical area, whilst actively looking at new business acquisition in line with company targets.
  • In addition, you will be expected to maintain and develop a pipeline, and secure contracts, working closely as part of a team to provide an efficient national level of support.
Other Duties Will Include:
  • Achieve year-on-year profit growth within geographical base
  • Organic development of all accounts
  • Plan dedicated diary activity into each customer base
  • Increase product penetration through targeted range extension
  • Accurate account planning and objective setting
  • Accurate completion of contract paperwork in compliance with Company standards
  • Deliver on-site coffee excellence training sessions and visit all sites as per contractual commitments
  • Refer to provided Matrix for defined National pricing for any discounts on independent accounts
  • Internal reporting and communication to the company
  • Network with agreed Buyers, Area managers and Key Decision Makers at regional level
  • Maintain sales pipeline and acquisition of new business
  • Attend calls as directed by the diary system; plan diarised appointments in line with minimum standards
  • Seek to gain referral business & SGAs (self-generated appointments) from prospects, existing & new customers whenever possible
  • Negotiate with decision-makers and other influencers within existing accounts to achieve agreed targets including product nomination
  • Formulate a medium- & long-term sales plan for each account to achieve sales & profit targets and to regularly monitor progress against plan
  • Update customer records after each visit
  • Attend (ad-hoc) National Sales Meetings to discuss successes, activities and opportunities within sector
Key Skills/Experience/Qualifications Required:In order to be considered for the role of Coffee Sales/Account Manager, you must possess the following:
  • Coffee sales or a wealth of Barista experience would be desirable OR strong sales experience gained from within the foodservice or drinks industries
  • A genuine passion for and interest in all things coffee
  • Strong account management abilities
  • A professional and customer focused approach
  • Happy and confident to present to and train customers
  • Target driven with a track record of success
  • Able to work in a demanding, fast - paced but structured environment
  • The ability to multi - task in order to achieve results
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and presentation skills
  • A high level of numeracy and administration abilities
  • A full UK driving license
  • Living on patch (M4 or M5 corridor)
Salary/Benefits Information:In return for your role as Coffee Sales/Account Manager you will receive the following remuneration;
