Job Description

Class 1 HGV Driver24-7 Recruitment Services acting as an Employment Business are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers on behalf of our client to join our well-known clients distribution site based in Severn Beach, Bristol (BS35).This Class 1 HGV Driver position is to ensure the accurate, safe and timely delivery of goods to Dominos Pizza Stores while following all Domino Pizza policies and operating procedures.Various shifts patterns available:

  • Week 1: Mon & Tue: IN - Weds & Thurs: OFF - Fri & Sat: IN - Sun: OFF
  • Week 2: Mon, Tue, Weds & Thurs: IN - Fri, Sat, Sun: OFF
  • Week 3: Mon & Tue: OFF - Weds, Thurs, Fri, Sat: IN - Sun: OFF
  • Flexible weekly working rotas available.
HGV Class 1 Driver will be required:
  • Hold a valid a C+E License
  • Hold a valid Tacho and CPC card
  • No more than 6 points (No DDs, DRs, TTs or INs)
  • Delivery of goods into Dominos Pizza Stores by hand-balling products into the designated areas.
  • Have a good understanding and Comply with all Transport legislation i.e. working time directive, Driving hours/breaks and tachograph laws.
  • Ensuring the goods being delivered match against the delivery paperwork.
  • Collection of empty dough trays, cages and dollies from Dominos Pizza Stores.
  • Provide a high level of customer service that is always maintained.
  • Follow all company procedures and ensuring the accurate completion of all paperwork with each shift.
  • Abide by Health & Safety at all times to ensure you work in a manner that keeps you and your colleagues safe.
  • Always notify the Central Office at the earliest opportunity of any delays to your deliveries or if you are unable to make a delivery for any reason.
  • 12 week temp to perm position for right candidate
  • New passes are welcome
Required Skills:
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • Experience of Hygiene procedures, standards and equipment (Desirable)
  • Basic food Hygiene Certificate
PAYE rates for HGV Class 1 Driver:
  • Days £15.68
  • Weekly OT after 48h £23.52
This position is commutable from: Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Bath, Gloucester, Newport, Cardiff, ChepstowLogistics Distribution and Supply chain
