Job Description

Are you looking for an extraordinary CAREerGuinness Care is looking for a dynamic, ambitious Care Team Manager . This exciting new role will be pivotal in the delivery of housing and care services to customers living in our Extra Care scheme Lincoln Gardens, Bristol.About the role:Our customers live in their own properties and Guinness Care have a team of dedicated care staff on hand to support with all customers care needs. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the care services on a day to day basis. This includes lookingafter all aspects of the care functions and line management of a team of Care staff.One of the most exciting aspects of this role is the ability to drive real change - the post holder will build effective external relationships to help us grow and improve our service so you will need to be commercially astute and a real go-getter!Some of your day to day duties will be:

  • You will also be responsible for the planning and maintenance of staff rotas, act as a point of escalation for any issues within the service and effectively serve as a deputy to the Extra Care Manager.
  • Plan and schedule care delivery, ensuring consistency for both staff and customers
  • Work alongside the Resourcing Team to plan and implement growth strategies, including external recruitment and development of staff
  • Liaise with external organisations, customers and their families to develop a package of care
  • Assist with the induction, performance and development of staff
  • Take responsibility for compliance with both company policies and CQC requirements
  • Help maintain the right culture within the team - supportive, approachable and professional
Your skills and experience:We need you to be experienced in delivering fantastic care, and leading teams. You will also need to be energetic, compassionate, driven and a real team player.You will be a confident communicator who is comfortable working with customers, their families, and both internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Most of all, youll enjoy enabling your team to be the best they possibly can be.Essential:
  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Health & Social Care
  • Experience of managing rotas, ideally using an electronic rostering system
  • Knowledge and understanding of CQC, health and social care legislation
  • Experience of managing, leading and motivating staff
  • A sensitive and supportive approach to our customers, maintaining their dignity and self-respect at all times.
  • Experience of managing a service providing care and support to older people and of working in consultation with customers
Desirable:
  • Experience of managing care in a domiciliary or community care setting
  • Understanding of housing management
  • Ability to assist in the implementation and review of risk assessments.
