Job Description

Lyons Bowe is a local, high-street Solicitors, but with a difference! Established in 2014, we have developed state of the art technology which allows us to offer exceptional legal services across Residential Conveyancing, New Build, Family & Private Clientwhilst also providing that all-important high-street service to our local communities.We are seeking a Business Support Assistant to join our central team and support Head of Operations and Head of HR. This position will be based in our Bristol office, however due to the nature of the job role, working in our other offices will be an essentialpart of the role.Job PurposeThe Business Support Assistant will report into the Head of Operations. We pride ourselves on providing a seamless, friction-free Business Support and Operations service to the business and, as such, youll play a highly visible role, having regular contactwith all the staff and our stakeholders.Responsibilities and Duties

  • Training - delivering system and compliance induction training for new starters, and on-going training for existing staff;
  • Compliance - understanding and delivering compliance training on Anti-Money Laundering, SOF and SOW, GDPR; maintaining the firms compliance registers; handling and responding to initial complaints; organising and processing the firms quarterly file audits;assisting in the firms annual re-application for Lexcel, CQS and WIQS accreditations; post completion file checks and closure;
  • Facilities - ensuring all offices are maintained to a certain standard; monitoring the keys and alarm fobs system; maintaining Health & Safety protocols to include dealing with First Aiders and Fire marshalls;
  • IT - maintaining IT register and setting up workstations/WFH equipment; training on the firms telephone system; training on the Perfect Portal and Infotrack systems and processes;
  • HR - assisting the Head of HR in maintaining the cloud-based HR system with all documentation and training data; processing AML & DBS Checks;
Essential Criteria
  • Working knowledge of a solicitors office;
  • Previous experience in a similar role;
  • Experience dealing with legal software;
  • Be able to take direction and prioritise workloads;
  • Effective communicator;
