Job Description

Summary This role works across the South West Region so can be based at any one of our regional hubsLanhydrock, Killerton, Bristol or Tisbury. This role combines both that of the Business Service Lead & Project Support Co-ordinator, youll be supporting themanagement and delivery of National Trust Projects in the South West as well as leading your team to provide effective and flexible business services across the region.The role will work closely with the Consultancy Manager for Projects and will run the South West Project Support Office. As part of this role you will be responsible for ensuring that we have adequate support for all regional projects either drawn fromour regional business services team or funded directly as a project support to a specific major project. Projects vary significantly by type (Infrastructure, Community etc) and are often a mix. There is an established organisational Project Management methodologyand delivery is internal, external or combined. Travel will be minimal in this role but there may be a requirement to travel to attend regional team meetings as part of the Business Services Lead Role What its like to work here You will be working across the South West and can be based at any one of our regional hubs which are at Lanhydrock; Killerton; Bristol or Tisbury. You will be part of the Regional Business Service Team combined with supportingthe delivery of National Trust projects throughout the South West. Were looking for someone with a strong administrative skillset and experienced in project support. What youll be doing

  • Ensure resources are deployed efficiently for your stakeholders, by working closely with, and actively participating in the wider Business Services community locally and nationally.
  • Ensuring that project management information is accurate and timely, supporting project governance and decision making.
  • Enabling Project Managers, Regional Leadership Team, Sponsors and Clients to make the best use of project data to support governance, oversight, learning and intervention.
  • Supporting Project Managers to produce complete, accurate and timely project reporting.
  • Providing support and advice to projects regarding project performance and issues.
  • Supporting Project Managers, Regional Leadership Team, Sponsors and Clients in the use of the National Trust Project Management Framework.
  • Secretariat for the Regional Property Investment Board and liaising with the Central Project Support Office to meet organisational reporting and governance requirements.
  • Collaborating with other Project Support Co-ordinators to share best practice and establish links between projects.
Who were looking for
  • Experience of leading a team, including coaching, development, recruitment and performance management.
  • Good knowledge of projects including tools, techniques and budgets to provide support and advice as appropriate.
  • An understanding of Project Frameworks including governance.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good organisational and planning skills enabling effective processes
  • Ability to collate, many and analyse data to prepare reports for governance boards and stakeholders
  • Advances IT skillsMicrosoft office
