Business Development Manager - Packaging Solutions£45,000 - £60,000 Basic Salary DOE, with Car, Bonus & BenefitsBirmingham, Bristol, Devon, Cornwall, Reading, Swindon, Exeter, Gloucester, Newport, Southampton, Bournemouth, Oxford, Basingstoke.The EmployerWe are working with a privately-owned major manufacturer of end-to-end corrugated packaging solutions, with a turnover of 4 billion Euros. The UK is a very important market for them and has benefited from heavy investment in European first technology in recent years, they have a good network of sheet plants and box plants and are well positioned to serve all areas of the UK efficiently with high customer service levels. Many of their loyal client base are well known food and beverage manufacturers, and many are household names.The PositionWe are recruiting for a Business Development Manager. The role is to focus on the acquisition of new business relationships at a strategic level within the south west region of the UK. You will be predominantly targeting the manufacturers of fast-moving consumer goods and e-commerce outfits. You will be conducted a detailed needs analysis of your prospects business, highlighting where you might be able to solve the pain, be this in the supply chain, marketing, production or other, our client provides bespoke solutions to satisfy their customers’ demands, so this is not an off-the-shelf’ sell.PersonWe are looking for a proven, hard working and experienced Business Development Manager first and foremost. A structured approach and a high level of sales kraft is what we are looking for that can be evidenced in your career successes. Should you have experience of selling solutions to the manufacturing end user, then this is advantageous. You will be a self-starter, well presented and able to sell bespoke solutions, we are also looking for someone that can sell internally as well as externally.It is anticipated that you will be selling a bespoke solutions to manufacturers, knowledge of packaging would be advantageous, be this plastics, film, supply chain, marking and coding, labels or glass or corrugated BUT we are open to other backgrounds. We would consider applications from other industries/products, the main thing is that you must be selling a bespoke solution with multiple different SKU’s - an added value solution.
