Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst (Finance)Location: Hybrid / Bristol Harbourside (2-3 days per week on site)Duration: 6 MonthsPayRate: Circa* £550 per day via umbrellaJob Summary:An opportunity has arisen for a hardworking Finance Business Analyst with extensive background of data and systems, to join the Costs, Investment Management and Tax Lab in our high-profile banking clients Finance Platform.The role will work closely with their feature team members and Finance customers, predominantly Group Tax, to deliver solutions to improve their Finance and Data system processes and data quality.Activities youll be involved in include...

  • Engaging with Finance and the Business teams to comprehend their business need and explore problem statements in relation to the system delivery.
  • Working alongside our market leading external supplier to deliver for our customers.
  • Taking needs and crafting the backlog of tasks to underpin and drive designs and delivery, ensuring the scope is comprehended and recorded.
  • Helping develop and maintain business architecture artefacts, application artefacts and documentation of the associated processes and operating model.
  • Collaborating with other areas to further develop the tax & data capability within the team.
Heres what we need from you...
  • Background of working on complex projects/programmes - such as system migrations.
  • Ideally, knowledge of using work management tools such as Confluence & JIRA.
  • Comfortable using some waterfall (e.g. requirements catalogues) and some agile methodologies (e.g. user stories) and writing or helping to define use cases.
  • Ideally a knowledge of the Groups Finance Ledger applications and processes across the Oracle and SAP architecture.
  • Ability to move between technical and non-technical terminology and present solutions in a clear, visual manner.
  • Background in working within multi-functional teams.
  • Background of Alteryx is beneficial.
