Apache iX are seeking business analysts with ICT experience to join our consultancy team to deal with our growing portfolio of work on Defence IS and Cyber programmes. We are seeking talented & ambitious individuals who have experience of working with Government & Industry clients to:• Analyse and consult on Defence, Defence Digital or Cyber Programmes• Review and evaluate the organisation or programme needs• Identify & facilitate change to make Programmes Teams more Efficient & Effective• Crystallise the options within a range of BA analysis tools• Deliver using formal and agile programme management methodologies2 LocationWe are Bristol based, with our clients located in and around the South West, London & the Home Counties. Travel is expected to meet the needs of the client projects.3 Key ResponsibilitiesWe are interested in individuals with business analysis experience on technology programmes gained with either the civil service, other advisory organisations, or Government Suppliers. We provide pragmatic solutions to maintain the momentum in client programmes to deliver successful outcomes. Our Business Analysts will possess a combination of excellent analytical, management, and communication skills to help define and deliver results. In particular you will have:• Capability to lead the analysis of processes, systems and operations, using appropriate tools and techniques to identify improvements and/or efficiencies in fulfilment of client objectives• Ability to co-ordinate client engagement including facilitating workshops to gather inputs to your analysis and to share emerging ideas or conclusions• Experience of generating requirement specifications to create system and software solutions• The knowledge to contribute to the development of Operational Improvement tools, techniques and methods that can be shared to build capabilities within Apache iX• Leadership capability to manage agile delivery in roles such as agile business analyst or scrum master to rapidly iterate effective solutions.• High personal standards to ensure outstanding quality information delivery• The technical ability and creativity to assist on projects from the bid phase to completion• Ability to support and grow our business within existing accounts by presenting to prospective clients and developing new business propositions• Requirements decomposition and storyboard4 Must have Qualifications and Experience• Minimum of active SC (preferably DV)• Prior experience working in the capacity of a technical ICT business analyst• Relevant Business Analysis and/or Systems Engineering qualifications or experience• Agile / SCRUM knowledge on software development including SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)• Agile and waterfall delivery and an understanding of the Business Analyst role in a DevOps environment• Excellent spoken and written English with the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders• Be proactive and a self-starter with ability to prioritise and plan complex work in a dynamic environment• Willingness to learn and a can do attitude to problem solving5 Desirable Qualifications and Experience• Experience of MOD IT & Cyber programmes• Capability and experience of Business Consulting delivery or have the potential to do so across four dimensions: client interaction, technical delivery, practice and service development and business development.• Experience preparing and presenting business cases, invitations to tender and formal statements of requirements• Background with varying types of project and application• UML modelling• Practical experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and a solid understanding in databases• Service design & architecture6 Working for UsWe are a growing SME consultancy who puts the needs of our people and our clients first.
