Job Description

This client focused environmental legislation consultancy works with clients across a range of sectors, and tries to make real change environmentally on a daily basis.Due to a growth in workload they are looking to take on a graduate on an initial 6 month contract, and it could become permanent if all goes well. It’s a friendly team with a mix of ages and backgrounds, and laid-back. However at the same time, they are also highly professional and technically focused.You will be helping to deliver existing and new contracts, learning and delivering BREEAM assessments, which are effectively the project management of the environmental aspects of construction. Duties include:

  • Working with project teams and providing sustainability advice
  • Reviewing information
  • Providing technical information and clarifications on the requirements for BREEAM
  • Producing documents to support the delivery of projects.
  • Report writing
  • Information tracking
  • Formal lodgement of data
  • Communicating with clients, architects, engineers and contractors.
  • This work is predominantly BREEAM. However, as a team they provide a wide range of services working for a mix of clients. This includes energy modelling, carbon analysis of materials planning application support, renewables studies, overheating analysis as well as Code for Sustainable Homes, DREAM, CEEQUAL and general sustainability advice.Therefore, they can offer years of career progression and technical development that will challenge and inspire you. You will quickly be given responsibility to manage your own work and time, with the support of friendly and knowledgeable team members.Basic understanding of BREEAM preferred, and some experience would be ideal- as would some experience of construction or building design. Energy modelling skills would be a bonus. You should have good Word and Excel skills.You should have lateral thinking and problem solving skills, with the ability to provide a fast and clear response to complex issues.Due to Covid they are currently running a skeleton crew in office as most people are working from home. Post Covid is likely to be a mix of home and office working.Initial employment will be office based for training purposes. The office is just outside Bristol. There is great access to local amenities. Space for internal bike storage and close to car parking and a bus stop. Required skills
