Job Description

Vacancy: Bodyshop ManagerLocation: Avonmouth, BristolSalary and benefits: Up to £45,000 basic, plus bonus and car or car allowance, 23 days annual leave, stakeholder pension plus other benefitsVacancy type and shifts: Permanent opportunity, 5 out of 7 days, 8.30-5.30Due to the opening of a brand new BCA fulfilment centre in Bristol in January 2021, we are looking to recruit an experienced Bodyshop Manager to join us and help build this exciting opportunity.BCA delivers a diverse range of high-quality automotive services. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service and product delivery, with large state of the art workshops and friendly experts trained to deliver to a variety of manufacturer standards. We are looking to recruit an experienced Body shop Manager to join our team based in Avonmouth.This is a senior management position within BCA. Reporting to the General Manager, the Bodyshop Manager will be directly responsible for all vehicle arrival, survey, storage, maintenance, quality, vehicle movements.Role and Responsibilities:Duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Defining the KPI’s to ensure the operation runs correctly
  • Workforce planning and management to ensure the department runs to optimum staff levels at all times
  • Liaising with customers at senior and operational levels
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Manage, direct and lead the Bodyshop
  • Promote and lead the health, safety and welfare of all employees within the workshop
  • Responsible for the quality, technical production, storage and handling of customers’ vehicles in accordance with agreed processes and protocols
  • Assist in managing SLAs and KPIs
  • Develop and drive our Customer First’ approach to communication, building excellent relationships at all levels
  • Maintain open communication with all clients as required
  • Assist in managing the Company’s suppliers including their health and safety whilst on site
  • Be active in the development and integration of ISO regulations
  • Contribute fully to Company initiatives, projects and processes, and support positively the aims and ambitions of the Company
  • Lead, respond positively to, and encourage beneficial change
  • Attend Company instigated training activities
  • Technicial Skills:
  • Delegate responsibility appropriately and effectively
  • Ability to motivate a team to deliver objectives and meet targets
  • Must be able to correctly comply with standard operating procedures but also to regularly and objectively review and implement improvements
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • General Manager - Liaise with the General Manager to define and deliver operational KPI’s.
  • Cornerstone Managers - Liaise with other Cornerstone Managers to ensure the overall branch operation runs effectively
  • Team Leaders/Coordinators - Provide line management to members and work with them to support consistent high performance. Conduct regular performance appraisals.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals and 1:1’s
  • Experience required:
  • Experience in a line manager or team leader role
  • Experience of working in a fast paced operational environment
  • Able to demonstrate high-level organisational skills and an ability to communicate a variety of information and instruction to operational team members and first line supervisors
  • Experience in reviewing, analysing and producing data
  • Experience of working in an auction or vehicle sales environment
  • Experience of process and continuous improvement systems
  • A full UK driving licence as you may be required to move vehicles around site
