Job Description

Automated Test Engineer Helastel is a bespoke software solutions company based in the heart of Bristol, specialising in software development, IT consultancy, data management solutions and IT infrastructure services for both private and public sector organisations.If you are an amazing Automated Test Engineer looking to work for a progressive, dynamic and social technology company that offers personal development, career progression and a range of flexible benefits, then read on as this could be the job for you! The Role: Quality Assurance/ Test Automation Engineer role plays an important part in our companys product development process. You will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while beingcost-effective. You will be driving the quality of our products, by designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also track quality assurance metrics using Helastels Quality Model for QA. You will be responsible for:

  • Estimate time and resources required to perform testing within defined timescales Develop test plans for tasks, dependencies and participants
  • Identify and generate the scenarios needed for robust testing coverage.
  • Working with QA Lead to define the best approach to moving manual testing over to an automated test framework
  • Working with the QA Lead, help maintain test environments by liaising with infrastructure team to ensure that there are sucient resources available
  • Working with the QA Lead, help identify best placed resources and best fit for project needs
  • Working with the QA Lead, help define and maintain the overarching test strategy (organisation wide)
  • Working with the QA Lead, identify projects that have long term support that would benefit from automated regression suites
  • Working with the QA Lead, review and assess CVs and conduct interviews to recruit quality individuals into the Organisation
Youll bring the following to our team:
  • Automation testing i.e. Selenium or equivalent
  • Measurable/Demonstrable experience as a tester and able to help develop other members of the team.
  • Experiencing testing enterprise web/ mobile applications
  • Experience working with and implementing test automation tools
  • Measurable / demonstrable experience in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java)
  • Foundation level of ISTQB minimum
