Job Description

Audio Visual Software ProgrammerLocation: BristolSalary: £35k - £40k based on experienceThe Client:The client offers world class Audio-Visual, Video Conferencing and Telepresence systems and services. They are an award-winning company that has received numerous accolades for exceeding standards of excellence. Working out of Bristol and Marlow officesin the UK they have provided Audio-Visual, Video conferencing and Telepresence solutions in over many countries to date.The Role:You need to be a first-class Software Programmer, ensuring that all software is documented, produced, and archived with the utmost attention to detail and to the total satisfaction of the client.Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure and maintain software coding, in a range of programming languages (including Crestron, AMX and Extron), which enables intuitive control of audio visual products in order to meet the specific requirements of the Companys clients.
  • Create, modify and enhance highly professional touch-panel UXDs and GUIs adhering to the Companys design software specifications, standards, templates and timetables.
  • Produce concise software control documentation.
  • Maintain accurate software support documentation.
  • Ensure all software generated is backed up and stored as appropriate.
  • Configure and assign network addresses to AV devices in preparation for client installations.
  • Update firmware on AV products and screens.
  • Create detailed and robust software test documentation and then test each AV products functionality in conjunction with this to ensure that it works as expected by the client.
  • Attend client sites to assist the audio visual installations and testing as required.
  • Create instruction manuals and software operating instructions for client use as required
  • Ensure safe working conditions and safe working practices are adhered to at all times.
  • Be knowledgeable on and conversant with the Companys portfolio of solutions and services.
  • Prepare for and successfully complete all tests and examinations to achieve the required industry and Company accreditations.
  • Support the sales team with any pre- or post-sales technical advice and activities, as required.
  • Provide ad-hoc duties as and when required by a Director.
  • Maintain on a daily basis an up-to-date record of all activities and contact with clients and prospects through the Companys CRM database.
Skills and Experience:
  • You will have proven experience and have previously worked as a software programmer.
  • Crestron, AMX and Extron experience
  • Experience of working with touch-panel UXDs and GUIs
  • Creating detailed and robust software test documentation
  • Creating instruction manuals and software operating instructions
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills,
  • Be a good team player and have an eye for attention to detail.
