Area Sales Manager The Role: As an Area Sales Manager your role will be to drive distribution sales across the Southern territory which is everything below the M4 motorway, all of Greater London, and the South East. The Area Sales Manager will be sellinga range of quality pneumatic tools, hoses, and accessories and 60% of your role will be to support your existing client base made up of independent and national distribution businesses, the other 40% of your time will be engaging with new distribution partners,accompanying them on joint visits, and other new business activity. You will build and develop relationships with your channel partners to push sales and win market share. The Area Sales Manager will achieve this through a number of activities such as meetthe manufacturer events at distribution branches, field visits, and teams meetings. You will have additional autonomy with pricing, promotions, and planning for your account base.The Company: Our client are a household name in this industry and are looking to implement a new strategy to build on their recent successes in the region. They are a business who have looked after their people well during the pandemic,and through the last twelve months, and have even onboarded people remotely during that situation. Since the pandemic they have gone from strength to strength by adding to their engineering teams, revamping customer services, and adding new people in specialistBDM positions. People are at the heart of what they do and they are looking for dynamic individuals who are activity driven and hungry to grow the business. A strong relationship builder with a track record in distribution sales in the industrial & engineeringsectors will do very well here.We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
  • Have a track record of selling a product through distribution channels
  • Demonstrable account management and new business track record
  • Experience in growing an existing account base
  • Industrial, Engineering, or construction product sales background ideal
  • Have drive, energy, and strong territory planning skills
  • Full & Clean Driving licence
Salary: £35,000-37,000 DOE + £12k OTE uncapped + car (electric/hybrid) + 27 days holiday (+ stats) + pension scheme up to 11%Location: Bristol, Reading, Swindon, London, Portsmouth, Southampton
